About Me
Howdy, I'm a professional photojournalist based in the Chicago area. I work for a company, as a staff photographer, that owns several weekly newspapers and a few magazines. I also do freelance work, and when I can, donate my time to arts organizations and non-for-profits. If you choose to read this blog you'll get a good idea of what I do. Also, realize that while I take my work seriously, I don't take myself seriously, so if something I say sounds ridiculous or over the top or just plain silly, realize I'm probably laughing at myself while I say it.
I also should mention that I update this blog sporadically. I try to be consistent, but sometimes I get distracted for a bit, a month or two, then I start back.

I really like this image, Josh. It is quite whimsical. I didn't realize those were feathers at first. I thought it was snow!....They also remind me of little stars........
There is an unfortunate feather right under nose, but I kind of love that, too.

this is frickin' awesome, actually. it's sort of faerie/etherialish. i approve.
It relaxes me. She seems so serene and contemplative.
The feather/flake under her nose is the perfect imperfection for the picture.
I really like the lighting. It's a really bright picture for you. It glows.
